I finally got around to getting photographs of some of my completed quilts. It was a bright sunny day, and I had a few shadows, but I still like the pictures.
I finished this quilt quite a while ago, and I love how it came it. The aqua blue blocks, with a dominant white for contrast, really make all the different fabrics stand out. Except for the white and the navy, the fabrics were pulled from my stash.

The NHMQG's Half Square Triangle challenge led me to this. I took the original idea of black/white and used grey and almost black fabrics. The yellow block was inspired by Lee Heinrich and her
talk back in March 2015. She spoke about adding the unexpected, and showed some quilts that had a block that was "different." (Many thanks to my 10-year old helpers who climbed up on the stone wall so that I could get a good shot!)

Next up is the 8x8" squares project from Patchwork City by Elizabeth Hartman. I really loved working on this. All the fabrics are from my stash; it was fun to explore print and color combinations. There was a lot of paper piecing, and I think I got the hang of it by the time I was done with these 25 blocks!

Last but not least is my Suburbs quilt, from the
Cluck Cluck Sew pattern. I used a kit, so most of the fabrics were of the kit-maker's choice. I did substitute for some that I didn't really care for, using some that better suited my taste. Love the result!
